The little extras made this stay memorable: hot croissants and jam delivered each morning, champagne and homemade lemon tart on arrival, and a wonderful gourmet dinner by Denis, especially the soufflé. We also loved swimming peacefully among the gum trees in the solar heated magnesium pool. We came with another couple, and all of us felt two nights was a must for enjoying the full sense of relaxation. The accommodation was beautifully appointed, the setting tranquil, and the town was easy to reach. Scenic lake walks were simple to get to, and we also visited the amazing Serengale local winery. From the moment we entered the gates, we were charmed by the comfort and beauty of the place and by the sublime hospitality of hosts Denis and Carolyn. We’d heard rave reviews from experienced travellers, and Beechworth House far exceeded our high expectations. Alan, Denis and Carolyn were delightful company, often joined by kookaburras, rosellas and many other native birds.

The dinners by Chef Dennis were a treat, and he’s a fantastic chef with a wicked sense of humour. Carolyn and Denis made us feel so welcome with their kindness and warmth. My wife and I had a fantastic time at Beechworth House, and we can’t thank our hosts enough. We’ll be back with friends.

We chose Beechworth House for its gourmet meals, comfortable room, dog friendly option and EV charger, and it lived up to what we hoped for. We stayed four nights with our dog in the Citron room, which suited us perfectly and had a lovely new bathroom. Denis and Carolyn were warm and easy to chat with, helpful with local recommendations and connections, and brilliant cooks. We had dinner in-house on our second night, and every dish was delicious. The fish soup entrée and soufflé dessert were standouts. I left something behind in the room, and Denis kindly posted it to me. Thank you so much, Denis and Carolyn. See you soon!

We’re already planning a longer return visit. The rooms are beautiful, the location is great and the hosts are fabulous. Every detail felt carefully considered. A really wonderful stay at Beechworth House.

One night just wasn’t enough. We had champagne and lemon tarts, then a refreshing swim before a magnificent three-course dinner. Carolyn was lovely and Denis an amazing chef. The grounds and pool are beautiful, and our private suite was immaculate, beautifully appointed, and had kookaburras right outside. A magical experience.
