The bath looking out into the forest was a lovely touch, and the cottage itself was clean, cosy, and comfortable. We spent our days surrounded by karri trees and wildlife, with kookaburras calling each day. It was an ideal quiet place to switch off and enjoy nature. The new owners were warm and thoughtful, and it felt clear they care about their guests. We’d happily return for another relaxing stay in Western Australia.

Those friendly wild parrots outside were a treat, especially since they loved the seed we gave them. The kookaburras seemed perfectly happy with us too, and the scenery was wonderfully serene. We spent three nights in Juliet Cottage, which was spacious, clean, and nicely presented. It had a wood fireplace, a large bathroom with a spa, and a very comfortable bed. Jason and Tracey were lovely and offered to help if we needed anything. A peaceful, lovely place to stay.

You can walk through the forest to the restaurant at karri valley by the lake. The setting is peaceful and private, and the cottage has a quaint, cosy feel with enough modern conveniences to be comfortable.

The TV connection wasn’t working during our two-night stay booked for 21 July 2025. The owners came over when we called, though it turned out a sparky was needed to fix it. Aside from that, the cottage was neat and cosy, tucked among the karri trees and bush in a really serene spot. We were comfortable there and hope to visit again next winter. Best wishes to the new owners.

It’s a secluded, peaceful spot, about a 15-minute drive from Pemberton, and I liked the location. We spent two nights in Gretel cottage, though, and it felt dated and ready for an update. It also needed a proper deep clean, with too much dust and a few too many cobwebs.
