The rooms were dirty, dated and had bugs. When we opened the curtains, two bugs fell out, and the rooms hadn’t been serviced adequately. I found the place overpriced given the condition, service and cleanliness. The gentleman who checked us in was abrupt and unwelcoming, and staff in logo polo shirts were sitting outside rooms smoking. I’ve read the responses to other posts, so to be clear, we didn’t ask for a refund and we aren’t liars. This hotel is substandard.

The hotel is older, but the room was roomy and clean, and the beds were okay. If you’re arriving after reception closes, be careful. We were promised twice, the second time at 5:15 pm, just 15 minutes before closing, that they’d text us a code to open the key safe. Nothing arrived before we got there, and nobody was around. Calls and texts to the emergency number went unanswered. We felt stranded and it was extremely frustrating. The code finally came at 7:41 pm, over two hours after closing. During our two nights, reception never got in touch to check in or even offer a simple apology for the mistake, which had caused us distress.

Our holiday group of 10 stayed at Bega Motor Inn last week, and the experience was deeply disappointing. Several of us woke with bites, and we saw bed bugs on mattresses and in the bathroom. The place felt unhygienic and unfit to stay in. In our room, the sheets had several hairs on them and the bed cover had visible stains, so it was clear the bedding hadn’t been cleaned or checked properly before we arrived. In a friend’s room, there were dirty plates in the cupboards and a keyring in the bed, another sign that the room had not been cleaned properly. We expected basic hygiene, but this was far below an acceptable standard. The situation caused a lot of discomfort and frustration and ruined our holiday. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and acts quickly to improve cleanliness. Guests shouldn’t have to go through this.

We were there for one night over the long weekend. The location near the market was handy, and the room was very spacious, but there were a number of problems. One of our family rooms had linen with hair, a dirty stain and key rings on it, and dirty food trays were left inside. Friends staying in rooms 25 and 26 found bed bugs. Customer service was very poor. When I called to give genuine feedback, the staff member was rude and kept asking what I wanted, even though I wasn’t calling for any benefit. I’ve also asked twice for receipts and still haven’t received them. Please be respectful and take responsibility when things aren’t done properly. Not everyone is after benefits.
