Sylvan Beach Resort

I tried to book over the phone and the woman said she'd call me back, since she wasn't in the office. She knew a studio apartment was available for the dates I needed, but never got back to me. When I called the next day, I was told that studio was no longer available, so now we have nowhere to stay. Really poor customer service. One star is generous. If I could give no stars, I would.

We found a great apartment facing the seafront for a last minute two night break with our two young kids. The staff were friendly and made it easy for us to add a second night. We wanted to see that sunset one more time! Everything was clean and working, and having the laundry was handy. The kids even braved the pool for a little while in winter. It felt very secure, and the individual lock up garage for each apartment was great.

We only stayed one night, but were well looked after as part of Ride for Red. A great spot to stay. Thanku.

The best part was getting a refund. The place smelled of mold, and when we sat down that evening we found the couch was actually covered in it. The furniture and decorations were dated, and some furniture was broken. It was generally dirty too. The pub right next door blasted music late into the night, which might suit you if you plan to spend your holiday there. The cost is far beyond the quality.
