Bendigo Homestead Motor Inn & Apartments

The owners are proud of the place and conscientious about it. When we mentioned that the bathroom door hinge pins were nearly coming out, they fixed it straight away by taking the door off, knocking the pins back into place and rehanging it. Then they thoroughly vacuumed the room. The room was quiet even though it’s on a main road, and a powerboard was provided. The bathroom had just been completely renovated, and the cleanliness in the room and outside areas was exceptional. This place deserves 10 stars. The owners really went above and beyond.

The front desk gentleman was so friendly and welcoming, and the rooms really are beautiful. A friend recommended this motel and they were spot on. The room was sparkling clean and smelled fresh as soon as I opened the door. I loved the comfortable bed with its lovely clean white sheets and doona cover. The bathroom was just as spotless, and it was a nice touch to find a hair dryer there. YouTube for entertainment was a bonus too. Very reasonably priced and beautifully presented, this is the place to stay in Bendigo. Ten stars if I could!

We’ve been coming here for 3 years, and it’s our go-to when we visit Bendigo. The cosy, very clean rooms have just had a makeover, making it perfect for a night or two.

Friendly staff greeted me when I arrived for a three-night work stay. The property’s exterior is well maintained and there’s plenty of parking. My room felt a bit dated, but had the essentials for a short stay, including a microwave, and I found the bed quite comfortable. I did notice mould in the bathroom, unsafe wiring near the power outlet I used to charge my phone, and a smoke alarm with no battery that was beyond its service life. Fire inspections are part of my job, so I pay close attention to fire safety wherever I go. Those issues are fixable, and I still enjoyed my overall experience at the hotel.
