National Hotel Complex

I held my 21st in one of the function rooms last night (03/01/2025), and want to thank every staff member who helped make it such a great night. We all loved the food and drinks, and the team worked so hard to look after everyone. They were welcoming and lovely to chat with whenever we had a question or request, from setting up to cleaning and gathering our leftover decorations. I can’t stop recommending a function at the nash to everyone I know. It was an amazing experience. Thanks so, so much!

Lunch was a lovely experience. There was plenty to choose from, and we had lamb shank and roast pork. Both were really well cooked and generous serves. The Carlton Draught on tank went down nicely, and the staff were super friendly. I’ll definitely come back for lunch!

On my way back to the city, I stopped at the National Hotel for lunch and found an affordable, fair lunch special that included a drink. I ordered the gnocchi carbonara and was very happy with it. The portion was more than enough, and I had a skinny latte. Everyone on staff was super friendly. Highly recommend it for a good lunch date.

We waited a long time for drinks while plenty of bar staff stood around talking about their shifts. There was a piece of plastic in the Caesar salad, which I reckon broke off while someone was opening the takeaway container. The wait staff served the meals angrily, as if we were bothering her, and the same waitress was vaping outside. If the business is under New management, maybe they should take a look and offer staff a refresher or retraining. I saw floor staff taking meals to the wrong tables and customers getting frustrated. All the best for the future.
