Finding the room and parking would’ve been easier with clearer directions. The room itself was modern and clean, and the shower was brilliant. We didn’t find much to do in Bendigo, and recent bushfires had knocked out the local TV network, so we got a bit bored. The pool was a nice bonus, though, and we loved the motel car. A nice place overall.

The pool was a gorgeous spot for a swim, and our room was really comfortable. That shower had the best water pressure, and the bed was super comfy too. Michelle made us feel so welcome. Since it’s adults only, the motel had a really relaxed, chill vibe. We had a wonderful weekend here. Thanks, Michelle!

I was in Bendigo for five days of work and felt safe as houses at the Happy Wanderer, even though travelling alone can make me feel a little vulnerable. It was quiet and easy to get to, and the owners were lovely. The place is nice and relaxing. I loved my stay and would highly recommend it.

We were lucky to get the last room, and to catch the owner while she had things going on. She was warm and friendly. The motel has everything you need, and it’s great value for money. Some rooms have been renovated. We were given extra towels when we went for a swim, and there’s a pool too. It’s for guests 18 and over, so I’d highly recommend it if you’re after some quiet. Thank you for your hospitality.

I’ve spent eight days on the road around Victoria, and the Happy Wanderer Motel has been my best value stay so far. My room was spotless and had everything I needed, and I got a warm hello when I arrived. I won’t share the price here, but it was exceptional. There’s a reason they’re booked out most nights. Don’t let the main road frontage put you off. It’s a gem, and I’d love to return next time I’m in Bendigo.
