Gold Nugget Tourist Park

The receptionist was very helpful, but we ended up finding another park with a much more helpful manager, and we’re staying there for a week. We have a huge rig and wanted to check it would fit before booking in. The manager/owner acted as though we were an inconvenience, and his attitude on Tuesday was rude, unprofessional and unwelcoming. I’m sure he deals with plenty of people, but if that’s how he treats his livelihood, good luck to him. Customers are your bread n butter, and a little kindness goes a long way...

The lady at reception was friendly from the moment we arrived and went out of her way to place our two families in two vans side by side, with the doors facing each other and an empty site between us. The park itself is beautiful and spotless, with manicured grass sites and immaculate amenities. The laundry is great, with commercial-grade washers and dryers that don’t cost a fortune. There’s a kids’ play area and a pool, which were real bonuses. It’s priced very favourably, too. It really is a 'gold nugget' in Bendigo. We’ll definitely stay again. Thanks so much.

We had a fantastic weekend at Gold Nugget Tourist Park for the Good Charlotte concert in Bendigo. The new two-bedroom self-contained unit we booked was comfortable and had everything we needed, and the morning coffee van was a lovely touch. Getting to the showgrounds was easy because the park owners organised shuttle buses there and back. After the show, lots of the concert-goers gathered outside to chat. One guest brought out a guitar and played live music, and everyone sang along. It made for such a fun, friendly atmosphere. Travis, the park manager, helped make the night memorable while making sure other guests who weren’t part of the festivities were respected. Thanks for hosting us. We’ll definitely be back, and thanks again to Travis for such a great night at the park!

There was plenty of shade, a pool to cool down in when it’s hot, and a laundry. The park is getting on in age, but it’s clean and tidy, and just outside town with petrol stations and a good range of shops nearby. It wasn’t crowded just after New Year, and we had a pleasant stay.
