Quest Bendigo Central

There was so much room, and the apartment had everything we needed for our trip with Mum. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms were essential. It’s not near the city centre, but the drive was easy and it would probably take about 25 minutes to walk. There was a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, oven and stove, and we could cast to the TV. The staff member was wonderful. A rubber mat in the shower or bath would be useful.

I was fairly happy with my overnight stay in Bendigo for work. Check-in and checkout were quick, and the super friendly staff explained everything clearly. The room had standard accommodation essentials, including a kitchenette and a decent bathroom. The one thing that stopped me giving five stars was a large bird dropping on the outside of the window. It wasn’t pleasant to look at.

The rooms were comfortable, well appointed and spotlessly clean. It’s a good location, about a 15-minute walk to the CBD. I agree with the other comments about parking: there are limited spaces, and they’re quite tight.

Reception was really friendly and helpful, but getting around by car was a pain. The covered parking is extremely tight. Even small hatchbacks needed a few attempts, and our ute was over 5 metres long, so getting it in took ages. Since the good restaurants are about a 20-minute walk away and it was freezing, we left the car parked and took a taxi. Go out on a Friday or Saturday night and you may find someone else has taken your space by the time you get back. We stayed three nights. The bed was big and comfortable, and the shower was hot with good pressure. It did send water across the bathroom floor, though, soaking the bath mat and leaving the floor slippery. The bathroom door also wouldn't shut properly because of water damage.
