Berri Hotel

The room backed onto the pool, which was easy to get to, and it came with free drinks and snacks at no extra cost. The deluxe room was large, modern and family friendly, and the price was fantastic value. We found the location great, right on the Murray River and within walking distance of shops, the visitors centre and places to eat. Staff were wonderful, helpful and informative, and check-in was easy. Free Wi-Fi was a bonus. The restaurant attached to the hotel was good too, with generous portions for a great price. The only downside was how thin the walls are. You can hear everything, even people walking, and if you're downstairs you may hear a lot of noise from above. Still, an amazing stay and I’d recommend it wholeheartedly.

I liked the quiet atmosphere and excellent service, and the pool made it even more relaxing. It’s a lovely spot right by the river, great for a morning walk. I also appreciated being able to get room service. Had a great stay at the Berri Hotel, and I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Berri.

The pool was clean, and whoever looks after it deserves praise. The accommodation, though, was filthy, which is such a shame given the lovely town, people and beautiful waterfront right next door. In my first room, I found human body hair, blood and feces in the sheets. It really looked as though the bed had been made with the previous guest’s dirty sheets instead of clean ones. What bothers me most is that I stayed in that room a few weeks earlier and never checked the bed. I’d assumed it was clean. My mistake, and I don’t want to think about what I slept in then. They moved me to another room, where the sheets thankfully were clean. But the bed head had lots of dead bugs and dust, plus a Cadbury creme egg wrapper on top. There were mysterious splatter marks on the opposite wall. I really hope it was coffee. The photos show the human leavings I mentioned, along with the pretty great pool. Check the sheets are clean first.

The room was very clean, with a super comfortable bed and all we needed, including free nibbles. We stayed two nights in a deluxe room overlooking the huge pool. Great location and wonderful staff. Loved our stay and would highly recommend the hotel.
