For $466, I expected more. The curtains and blinds were cheap and did little to keep out daylight or outside lights, and the towels were thin. Even the coffee and toiletries felt cheap. We could hear the upstairs neighbours clearly, and the old, cheap fridge was loud too.

There were pests around the property. With no bathroom ventilation, steam went straight into the carpet, and the rooms had an overwhelming mouldy smell.

The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything my partner and I needed. They also kindly left champagne and chocolate after I asked for a surprise for my girlfriend’s early birthday. The location, right near the corner of the town’s main streets, was great. We had an excellent stay and will come back to Berry.

Being able to check in and out ourselves made it easy to spend the day elsewhere in the southern highlands before arriving in Berry. The accommodation is also exceptionally close to the local pub, about a 30-second walk, where you can enjoy a drink by the fire. Our room was wheelchair accessible, and the room itself was nice with a comfortable bed.

The beds were clean and comfortable, and the place was central and easy to find. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. At $600 a night it felt overpriced, though the location worked for what we needed.
