The house is a striking contemporary design, unusual but very practical, and you can see the owners’ vision and persistence in how they built it. The sea views are exceptional. It’s a great getaway in a well-serviced area, within easy reach of both the airport and Hobart.

We loved the walks along the nearby beach, they helped us leave our stress behind, and we came home relaxed and keen to return. Park Beach Retreat felt like a home away from home for our seven days, with everything we could ask for. The welcome and information booklet covered what we needed to enjoy the accommodation, even maintenance, and included local history and information that my husband found intriguing. The facilities were first class, and Park Beach Retreat is well placed, about 20 minutes from the airport and near the main highway south towards Dunalley and Port Arthur. I spent a fabulous week there. The views were breathtaking, with the sky changing colour all the time. Two lovely beachside cafes are about a 10-minute walk along a scenic paved path. I’d highly recommend staying here. Thank you, Grace.

We found this place at the last minute, and the host was super accommodating. We checked in after sunset, then woke up to the BEST views. My one complaint is that I didn’t discover it sooner! Thanks for having us!!

The cabin is small and nice, right by the beach, with great views and a comfy bed. The gas bottle ran out halfway through my shower, though, so I had to finish in freezing cold water.
