Today is Lunar New Year, a special occasion for us, and the check-in experience at Le Méridien Melbourne around 1:00 PM unfortunately dampened the start of our celebration. When we got to the room, there was no welcome card or welcome amenity. I know these gestures can vary by property, but their absence on this occasion added to our disappointment. My husband is a loyal Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador member, and we’ve usually chosen Bonvoy properties when travelling. We’ve valued the recognition, professionalism, and thoughtful service given to elite members. We understand requests depend on availability and try to keep our expectations reasonable. Today, though, the staff member and manager on duty came across as unhelpful in their attitude and communication. We were told they “have to treat ALL members the same” and directed to check availability ourselves in the mobile app. We understand fairness and consistent policies, but the way it was put felt dismissive and lacking in hospitality. It’s the first time we haven’t felt any priority or personal attention as Ambassador members. I’m sharing this because I value the Bonvoy program and the standards it represents, not simply to complain. I hope the experience can be reviewed so future stays reflect the level of service and recognition Ambassador members expect. Thank you for your attention.

The view from the pool was lovely, and the facilities were great. I especially liked the sauna, and the gym was clean and well maintained. The room had a modern design and looked beautiful, though it felt a little smaller than I expected. A comfortable stay with nice amenities.

The breakfast buffet at Dollys had plenty to choose from, and the serving staff were friendly and efficient. Check-in was professional and welcoming, and we were assigned a spacious, very clean corner suite on the 7th floor, with a view of Parliament House. The lighting was spot on for us seniors, the bathroom and powder room were nicely laid out, and the king bed was very comfortable. We slept really well, and the amenities covered everything we needed. As Marriott Titanium members, we were upgraded to a suite for our one Saturday night stay. The location worked perfectly for our plan to attend Sunday Mass at St.Patrick Cathedral and walk to the CBD. A very enjoyable stay.

We left feeling relaxed and refreshed, and can’t wait to stay at Le Meridien again. The amenities were wonderful, the service outstanding, and everything felt easy and enjoyable. Our room was spotless, stylish, and so comfortable. The view was amazing, and we found ourselves sitting and taking it in. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and at ease. The hotel is stunning, with a beautiful atmosphere and great attention to detail. My husband and I had an amazing staycation. Highly recommend it for a memorable, relaxing getaway.

The staff were excellent throughout our stay, and we found the room comfortable and well appointed. Le Méridien is in a fantastic spot, a short distance from the city centre and shopping precinct. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would happily return. Highly recommend it.
