Melbourne Metropole Central

The staff were friendly and helpful, and having free parking was handy. It’s also close to the hospitals, so I’d stay here again. The motel is older, but the bed was comfortable and it was nice and quiet despite the busy city area. The rooms could use some TLC, and a more careful clean would help, especially with the coffee cups and hair in the bathroom. Thanks for the hospitality.

Management were welcoming and really looked after us, which made the stay easy. We spotted a “staff wanted” sign, so they may be stretched on busier days, but that didn’t affect our experience. We loved being based on Brunswick Street in Fitzroy: cafes, restaurants, bars and street art are right nearby, and it’s easy to get into the CBD by tram or on foot. It also worked well for day trips into the Victorian countryside. The apartment hotel gave us a lively neighbourhood feel without being far from city sights. We’d happily come back. Five stars.

The cafe attached to the hotel was a lovely way to start the day, with friendly service, great value and awesome coffee. I enjoyed the space and location of the Melbourne Metropole, and had a lovely stay. The place did feel a bit dirty, though, so I bought some cleaning supplies. A thorough clean of the doors and windows would make a real difference. Thank you.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a firm bed, hot shower and blinds that kept it dark in the morning. The location was convenient for visiting family. I arrived after the front desk had closed, but had already received texts explaining registration, key collection and parking. In the morning, staff clarified where to display the parking sheet, and it was all straightforward. When I checked out on day three, the desk staff remembered my name, which was a nice gesture. I’ll be back in Melbourne in a couple of weeks and plan to book here again.
