The warm loaf of bread was our favourite part, and on day three there was another freshly baked one waiting for us. We also loved the homemade wine, local produce and lavender soaps, all those little touches made the cottage feel so welcoming. My boyfriend and I had an amazing birthday weekend here. Thank you so much, Sandra. We can’t wait to come back. 🥰🥰

We’re already planning to come back and stay longer. These little cottages are so thoughtfully equipped, with comfortable furniture and an amazing spa bath. The fridge was stocked with fresh ingredients, and there was a still-warm loaf of bread and a bottle of port waiting too. It was the high point of our holiday.

The peaceful setting and views were lovely, and Cara (I think?) dropping by each day was a delight. We stayed in the newer cottage to the left of the main residence. Its small kitchen was fine for a holiday, though the fridge door opened awkwardly and the lighting made cooking difficult. Cleanliness was the real problem. Dust and felt kept appearing in clumps in the bedroom. Looking under the bed, it was obvious it hadn’t been vacuumed, or the bed moved, in months. Pretty gross, honestly.

The attention to detail really sets these cottages apart. The kitchen had delicious local produce, fresh eggs, squeezed orange juice and warm homemade bread, and the rooms were spotless, with environmentally safe cleaning products. The two person spa was lovely too, with hot water, bubbles and candles. The French provincial decor is gorgeous, and the King size bed was incredibly comfortable, with soft, silky linen and an electric blanket. The location just outside town gave us privacy and quiet, in an idyllic setting that felt restorative. Sandy, the delightful host, is close by if anything comes up. I can’t fault the place and would absolutely recommend a visit soon.

That warm fresh loaf and the breakfast ingredients were such great touches, and the amenities felt just like home. Sandra, your hospitality helped make our stay memorable, and the location was perfect. We’re from WA, so we don’t know when we’ll make it back, but we definitely will. Hope you and Kora the dog stay safe and well until then. Love your work, Robyn and Lee xx
