The owner was friendly, and we were close to the Blow Hole, with penguins a possibility if you’re lucky. The room was warm and comfortable, with thoughtful furniture in the bedroom. Breakfast items were well stocked in the fridge, and the modern shower worked without any trouble. Sitting on the deck with coffee and listening to the kookaburras in the morning was lovely.
We slept really well here. The studio sits in a suburban yard and was very quiet, with easy access. The host welcomed us warmly, then gave us space. It’s a short, easy walk to the blowhole. Just keep in mind the place isn’t suitable for wheelchair users.
The waves could be heard from inside with the window open at night, and the place is only about 150m from the ocean, next to the plowhole. It’s also within driving distance of the Wine Glass Bay hiking area and Oyster Frecinet Marine Farm, where we had delicious oysters. The little place was tidy and had just enough room for two of us to spend a few days around Bicheno. Lovely host, highly recommended.
Those small thoughtful touches made the stay feel especially good, and the host was amazing. The location turned out even better than we expected. I wish we could find a place like this every time we travel. If we’re lucky enough to return to Tasmania, we’ll book here again.
We’d absolutely stay again. The included breakfast had an excellent range, and there were two outdoor seating spots where we could enjoy a refreshing drink. The views were fantastic and the location was superb. The facilities were superb too.
