La Costa Motel

After travelling from Bellingen NSW, stopping here and there all the way up to Bundaberg QLD, this was a lovely place to spend our last night before heading home. It was clean, quaint and welcoming. The breakfast and welcome pack was generous and good quality, and that amazingly hot shower had me doing a happy dance.

A great end to a hectic few days. The room had a bed, fridge, TV and air con, plus a breakfast pack with milk. Coolangatta Airport is close, about a six-minute walk.

Diane sorted us out with a great deal and arranged a spacious, nicely set-up room at short notice, which we really appreciated. Rose was there during our stay and was warm, welcoming and attentive. The whole visit was comfortable, smooth and memorable. Lacoste Motel really sticks to its theme and exceeded what we expected. We’ll definitely come back with our family. Highly recommend, it was 100% worth it!

The sound coming from the adjoining room was the one downside. I could practically watch the neighbours’ movie last night, and needed earplugs to block it out. With quiet guests next door it might not be an issue, but better soundproofing would make a real difference. We loved how different and eclectic the place felt from the usual plain motel. There’s so much attention to detail, from the complimentary breakfast basket, beach towels and bag, and shampoo, conditioner and soap, to the coffee machine. We also hired bikes without paying extra. The beachy feel, service and all those extra goodies won us over, so yes, I’d stay again. I’ve saved it for next time. Thanks for having us!
