The baked cakes and slices are dangerously good, making it hard to stick to a diet. It's one of the better mining villages I've eaten at. I don't stay there, but I get meal vouchers through my private accommodation. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the kitchen crew take pride in what they do.

The camp is okay, but the rooms are hit and miss. There aren't enough washing machines and dryers for a camp this size, there's no gym, and the wifi is nonexistent.

About four of us were on night shift and trying to sleep, but they gave the go-ahead for work to be done during that time. That's the level of care and respect VOB shows the people staying there.

The only reason I'm not giving five stars is that the accommodation, although well kept, is starting to feel old. I hear they're expanding, though. This is one of the better camps I've stayed at, and I'd recommend it to any work group in the area. The food is quality, with meals better than average, and the location is handy, close to everything. The counter staff seem to genuinely care, which is great after a long drive or an even longer day. The service is the best I've had between Collinsville and Blackwater.
