The Sunday markets next door were wonderful, and we loved the beaches, riding around the bay, and the green parks. It's a dog friendly park with great caretakers, clean amenities, and a well set up camp kitchen. The laundry is a bargain at just $4 a load, and the supermarket is a short bike ride down the street. The parks are lush, though the sites didn't seem suited to unpowered vans and were often shaded by trees, so our batteries were always low. The pool looked wonderful, but we didn't use it.

We come to Bowen every month for clinics and had been staying elsewhere. I'd stayed here years ago for a footy comp, so we decided to try it again. The local couple who own the place, their young son, and their pooch were mentioned in the info sheet, and we love supporting local, so this will be our regular spot. The reception was really welcoming, and they sell local gifts there too. Our room was clean, the shower pressure was AMAZING, and the pool was right outside the door. The beds were so comfy and we slept really well. Internet was patchy, but the info sheet clearly explained that it slows down when more people are using it later in the day, and that was exactly right.

I planned a shorter visit but was so content in the van park that I added another three nights, making seven altogether. Its position on the bay is great, and it was well kept, with a good spot for resting, sightseeing, or going out in the evening. The information about the park, local attractions, and food was very comprehensive. Matt and Dee, the managers, were a delight to deal with and entertaining as well. Thanks for looking after me so well. I'll be back.

Great location right by the beach, with lots of activities close by. It's a beautiful, quiet little park. The sites are small and packed quite tightly, but we liked being able to choose which way the vans faced so the awnings on ours could face each other.

The cabin's single bed sheets were stained and looked unwashed, and we found hair on both beds. On the plus side, the staff were super friendly when we arrived, and the park was well maintained with useful information provided.
