We spent three nights in the new posh pod over the January long weekend with our two big dogs. Bundy, the resident dog, was wonderfully relaxed as he wandered around, and it was fun seeing the cows and horses too. Bev was lovely and available when we needed her, but gave us plenty of space. The price was great as well. I loved reading in one of the deck baths while looking out over the rolling scenery. The pool was very welcome, and we all went for a swim in the river with the dogs. We also walked and rode our bikes around the property. Just a heads-up, you'd want an SUV for the paddocks, not a small car. The bed was really comfortable, and the pod had what we needed, especially the air con on a day in the high 30s. There’s an induction cooktop and microwave for meals. Four of us made it feel a little crowded, but we knew it was a pod. Highly recommend.

We've already booked the homestead for next year and can’t wait. We’ve stayed there every long weekend for the past three years, and it’s become the place where we feel at peace. We always come ready to feed the horses, and Bev is a fantastic host.

We stayed in the cabin, which was really comfortable. It's a great spot to unwind, enjoy the view, see some wildlife, and mostly do nothing. We walked down to the creek, where Millie loved swimming, and also made it up to the lookout.

The sunrise over the rolling hills was spectacular, and getting up early to see it was absolutely worth it. Native birds chirped at dawn and dusk, then gathered on the lawn in the early evening to pick at something hidden in the grass. I also wandered along the pebbly river edge. It's a decent walk down and a slower climb back, but there are lots of places to stop for photos and catch your breath. We booked the Homestead for three nights and had loads of space and wonderful views. The full-sized fridge was handy for all the food we brought, and everything else we needed was there too, from pots and pans to crockery, utensils, a BBQ, salt and pepper. The spa was lovely and relaxing, especially on a cooler day when the water felt nice and warm. I also had a swim in the pool. It was cool, but refreshing. Bev made us feel welcome, and our two dogs were welcome to roam the property and come inside, as long as they behaved. My partner and I took advantage of a mid-week special and were so glad we did. We'll definitely come back for another relaxing, dog-friendly stay. Thank you so much!

Dam It Getaway is a magnificent mountain escape, with hiking trails nearby, including copeland Gold mountain and gloucester tops waterfalls. It feels like home up in the mountains, with a fully equipped kitchen and cosy beds and linen. Bev is the best host. There’s a private spa, wifi, air con and a fireplace too. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!
