Links House

Breakfast being included made our mornings so easy, and the food was delicious. The coffee was great too. Links House was quiet and lovely for relaxing, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We also liked how nicely decorated the dining room, reception, and common area were. My husband and I had an amazing stay.

Michael and the team made our night memorable, and we’re already looking forward to returning. I booked Links House for a birthday dinner with a friend in December, our first catch-up in months, and the whole experience was wonderful. The crab linguine was especially delicious, and the rosè they suggested went beautifully with the meal. A lovely, intimate spot in Bowral for good food.

The shower temperature kept changing, so getting a properly hot shower before bed was difficult. We also hoped to sit by the fire and play chess, but it was already quite busy that evening. It seemed like a relaxing place, and with more time there we probably would have enjoyed it more. We arrived late and left early. Michael welcomed us warmly, and the included breakfast was good, especially the scrambled eggs and bacon. The place has a cosy, old-school feel. I bought a bottle of chocolate port, though I haven't tried it yet. For what we paid, it seemed okay value with breakfast included.

There are several kinds of rooms and lots of different places to sit around the hotel and grounds. The hotel has a bar with a lounge and fireplace, which would be especially nice in cooler weather, plus a restaurant open for lunch and dinner on certain days. Parking was plentiful. My daughter and I stayed one night in the Highland Suite - King room. It had a good-sized bedroom, a separate lounge and dining space, and a spacious bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, and the linen suited the cooler weather. There was enough heating from the lounge heater, and I think the bed also had an electric blanket. The lounge area was roomy, but the TV was mounted far from the couch at the other end. The small bar fridge was cold and stocked with drinks to buy, along with complimentary still and sparkling water, coke, solo and other soft drinks. Breakfast came with the room, with extra items available for an additional charge. The main issue was the shower drainage. Water pooled across the bathroom floor, spreading as far as the toilet. The complimentary chocolate port tasting on arrival was an unexpected and much appreciated bonus.
