The host was friendly and responsive, and the place is close to the town centre and two pubs. But it's more like a commune, with quite a few permanent residents. The tents are ordinary 3x3 tents with tarps over them, not glamping tents. The ground was uneven, and the bedding smelled musty. I wouldn't really call it pet friendly: the house dogs roam from front to back and aren't especially friendly to other dogs. One barks at everything and won't stop. The shower water was hot, though I think it was bore water and it had a smell. The sensor light in the shower switches off after 30 seconds, which is bloody annoying. The tent lights were useless, though they may have been nearly flat. I'd say it's worth $30/night. For $77, I expected better.

The owner showed me around and found me a camping spot even though I hadn't booked ahead. I also found the semi-permanent residents friendly and enjoyed a bit of small talk with them. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean and well equipped, with tea and coffee provided, which mattered a lot to me. There's an outdoor area with tables, parasols and chairs where you can relax out of the sun. The location is handy too, right by the mine entrance, though it's currently closed to the public, and within walking distance of the nearest lookout over the mine and the town's CBD. I was a little hesitant at first: some dogs barked at me and my bicycle, and the grass and ground didn't look ideal for pitching a tent. Even so, I had a very good stay.

The unit had everything we needed and was exceptionally clean. Lizzy is a great host.

My husband picked this place because it was the cheapest option. The room was very clean, with a generous pantry and basic medical supplies, even if the cabins and surroundings might look a bit spooky from outside 🤭🤭. There was nowhere to hang towels to dry, and the spa bath couldn't be used because of water restrictions. If you need internet overnight, stay somewhere else until they advertise that wi-fi is available.

The cottage was clean, everything worked as expected, and it was comfortable to sleep in, with clean linen and enough pillows. It's a good-value stop in Mt Morgan, with the basics provided: a small kitchenette, fridge, microwave and aircon, plus soap, shampoo, towels, dishwashing liquid and kitchen cloths. Set on the edge of town, it's quiet, yet easy to reach from the main road and only a 2 min drive from Mt Morgan business centre. Recommended for anyone travelling through the country side.
