Bright Velo

The onsite restaurant was so delicious that we ate there a couple of times, and the staff were great. The team were kind and gave me a box and towels when I needed to take a sick magpie to a local rescue. The place is right in town, and my spotless, spacious room smelled really clean when I arrived. I loved being able to use the balcony and the downstairs loungeroom, where my friends staying there could all meet up. The rooms are beautiful and luxurious.

I’d say this was the best dinner in the area. The mushroom risotto tasted Michelin Star-level, and I haven’t had a chocolate fondant, or lava cake, this good in years.

The staff here suggested things to do around the area, and the options were all pretty good. The service was outstanding, and the location is great. My room was generous in size and very clean.

We were at Bright Velo Hotel for three nights in Room 11 “Gimondi.” The private visitor parking was convenient, and the texted check-in instructions were easy to follow. But the room and bathroom are both very small, and there’s hardly any natural light, which made the place feel eerie, almost “haunted.” The TV switched itself on in the middle of the night and woke us up. We texted the staff at the same number that sent the check-in details, but got no reply. For the remaining nights we had to turn off the TV’s power switch ourselves so it wouldn’t disturb us again. I wish they’d taken our feedback more seriously, or at least acknowledged it while we were there.
