The location was handy, a short walk from town and close to the walking trails. The backyard was pleasant too, with a trampoline for the kids. But every night we found around 20 caterpillars or millipedes crawling all over the kitchen. I’ve stayed in plenty of country hotels and never had this problem. It was disgusting, and the place seemed terribly outdated when it came to keeping bugs out. The toilet paper was barely one ply.

We had to cut our holiday short and rush home to meet the lockdown requirements, which was the main downside. The place itself worked really well as a base for cycling around Bright, although the toaster and kettle seemed ready to give up.

The apartment did the job for our stay in Bright. It’s adequate, with everything we needed supplied, though the rooms aren’t especially modern and it’s not luxury accommodation. The price felt a little high for what you get.

The unit itself was good, but there wasn’t much information inside, which would have helped. I couldn’t get Chromecast working on the TV in unit 8. The only other two unit numbers I could see were the available cast options. The shower soap dispenser was empty and there was very little hand wash.
