Breeze Lodge - Hostel

Breeze is a really clean, great hostel, and the reception team are great people who’ll help with any questions. They also make older travelers feel welcome, which is brilliant. We may be older, but we travel as well as anyone else, and no, we’re not angry people! Hehe. Four stars.

I stayed at Breeze Lodge for almost eight months while I was in Brisbane, and it was the best place ever. The staff are super friendly, the rooms are clean and can sleep up to 10 people depending on which one you choose, and everything feels great. The location is really good too. You can walk to the CBD in about 20 minutes or catch a bus to wherever you want to go. I’d always be happy to return if I get the chance. Wishing everyone the best.

The rooftop was a highlight, a nice spot to unwind with a city view. Breeze Lodge in Kangaroo Point was clean, modern and clearly well looked after. The rooms were comfortable, bathrooms stayed tidy, and the common spaces had a relaxed, welcoming feel. Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s convenient for getting to the CityCat, restaurants and the Kangaroo Point Cliffs. It felt safe and well managed, and is comfortable and affordable for either a short visit or a longer stay. Highly recommend!

I’ve stayed in hostels around the world, and this is easily the best one I’ve used in Brisbane. The staff impressed me most. I had my luggage shipped from Melbourne in advance, and when it arrived they lent me a trolley. A staff member even helped carry everything to my room. I’d never had such thoughtful help at a hostel anywhere in the world. I know hostels are budget accommodation and don’t expect hotel service, so that support really surprised me and I was grateful. On another occasion, I had a small issue in my room. While I was away at work during the day, staff kept in touch by notes, emails and calls to make sure it was fixed quickly. The facilities were great as well. There’s a refrigerator on every floor, so there’s no fridge shortage like at many hostels. Having a proper large freezer was a big plus for me, since that’s very rare in hostels. The rooms and bathrooms were kept very clean, and the common areas were tidy and comfortable, good for relaxing or meeting other travelers. I only stayed a short time on this visit, but already want to come back for longer. Highly recommended if you want comfort, cleanliness and helpful staff in Brisbane.
