Castaways Moreton Island

We only spent one night at Castaways, but it was brilliant from start to finish. Keith met us off the ferry and took us across the beach, sharing information about the island along the way. Belinda greeted us like old friends and made us feel welcome. The hut was comfortable and clean, with all the essentials provided. Breakfast and lunch were delicious, and so was the coffee. The huts are a short walk from the beach and its three sunken wrecks. It felt like having our own little mini Tangalooma wrecks, only less busy. The west-facing spot gave us a great sunset and clear skies for stargazing. Thanks for a lovely stay 🥰

We had a fantastic time camping in the regular tents with a large group. They’re basic, but comfortable and great value. The Castaways Team were brilliant, welcoming and accommodating, and we loved the people, the place and the whole vibe. Definitely coming back.

The glamping room was cosy and surprisingly cool considering how hot it was. The communal kitchen had everything you could need, and the cafe food was solid, with all kinds of drinks and booze too. The staff were lovely, friendly, down to earth and knew the island well. A perfect one stop shop!

A really good glamping option. There are no PowerPoints in the room, only on the verandah, and it seems wifi may not be far away. What sticks with me most is how courteous and helpful the staff always are.
