Comfort Inn & Suites Robertson Gardens

We reckon our villa was one of the newly renovated ones, and it was really good. The place was clean and tidy, with plenty of space so it never felt cramped. Even the kitchen appliances, like the kettle and microwave, looked new. There's a pool and playgrounds for the kids.

The breakfasts were very good, with a full range of hot and cold food. Cho and Maria in the dining room were excellent, warm and efficient, and it was lovely to start the day being greeted and served by them. I'd definitely stay again. I recently stayed in one of the villas but didn't use the pool or games room because we were out visiting family most of the time. One thing I'd like to see is a few EV chargers, perhaps near the Musgrave centre. Some hotels and motels where I stay offer paid or free charging, which makes it easier to charge overnight and get back on the road.

The team, led by Steve, were attentive, polite, and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. We held a three-day leaders conference in the event space and booked rooms on site. The conference rooms were clean and set up with the equipment we needed, and the food was delicious. We couldn't fault it and will definitely book again.

There were bugs everywhere, and we squished a lot of them. We found little beetles, not roaches, skittering around, plus at least one ant. It was really off-putting. The location is handy for nearby shopping centres, but the rooms need work. The shower only just fits one person and not really someone who's 180cm tall. The water temperature was very unpredictable: cold at first, a centimetre to the left made it fairly hot, and two centimetres made it scalding. The room phone line was poor too, making the front desk sound very far away. It wasn't the worst stay we've had, but some small changes and upgrades are needed.
