The location made getting around easy: walk from the front door to the footbridge for SLQ, QAGOMA and the museum, or take a short walk into the city. My room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I could hear the elevator running all night because my bedroom was right next to the shaft. When I asked to move, the staff tried to find another room, but the hotel was fully booked. They offered to check again the next day, though I was only in town briefly on business, so I stayed put. Their service and friendliness were great. If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the elevator shaft when booking. There isn't really a place for taxis or Uber drivers to pull up, which could make access difficult for some people.

The air conditioning was excellent, but the room itself was a bit dirty and had some mould. I was on the 7th floor and could hear a lot because there was no soundproofing. The building also felt overcrowded, with just two lifts for more than 30 floors. I waited for a lift five times before there was room for me to get in.

The room was comfortable, well appointed and in a superb location. The upgrade to two bathrooms was needed because one bathroom had no hot water. Staff couldn't arrange a fix, as there was no maintenance team in over the weekend.

The beds were next level comfortable, but most of the furniture in the apartment was unusable. The couches were broken and the lounge chairs were too uncomfortable to sit in. The TV was also very small for a two-bedroom apartment. The layout itself was good.

The couch smelled like pee, and I found blood on the pillowcase. I didn't have a luxury stay, and this didn't feel like a four-star hotel. The lift noise came through into the bedroom, the bathroom was small and slippery, and parking cost $40 per night, which hadn't been mentioned during booking.
