Getting around the city was easy from this hotel's location, and the views from my room were amazing. The staff, from the lobby team to the cleaners, were excellent and everything was handled well. I was really impressed with my three-day stay. Thanks, and I'll definitely be back!

The room was compact, but neat and had everything I needed. I thought the price was fair, and the staff were helpful at both check-in and check-out. I arrived early, so they looked after my bag. They also let me have a little extra time before checking out, which helped since I had an early meeting and could return to the room first. The location is very practical, near Queen Street mall and the office area, with South Bank about a ten-minute walk away. Being so central in a big city means there's plenty happening in the surrounding streets, with all sorts of characters around.

The restaurant is okay, though its limited menu doesn't change much, so I wouldn't count on eating there day after day. With so many good places to eat just a few minutes away, it's easy to find better options for a longer stay. I've stayed at the Ibis Styles Brisbane Elizabeth Street several times in the past six months. It's reliably fine, with generally friendly service, and I've never had a truly bad stay. Still, the experience often feels a bit meh. Nothing is seriously wrong, but little stands out. The CBD location is a real plus, with restaurants, the river, South Bank, shops and transport all within easy walking distance. As a long-time Accor member, I've had to clarify or follow up on benefit recognition, including free breakfast, on multiple stays. Even trying repeatedly to add the booking through the Accor App hasn't made it consistent. Those small loyalty details matter when you travel with the same brand often. The in-room entertainment is another frustration. The setup feels like it's from around 1986, and it's surprising that in 2026 the TVs still don't support streaming or casting from personal devices. It's a small feature, but it makes a noticeable difference when I'm travelling for work and spending evenings in the room. It's a dependable hotel with satisfactory service and a very convenient location. A few improvements to operations and technology would make stays better, especially for frequent Accor guests.

For $190 AUD a night, my superior Queen room with a city view was small but had the essentials. It was clean, around 9/10, and the bed, sheets and mattress were comfortable. The kettle looked scaly, though, so I left it unused. I appreciated having a safe, especially after my last two hotels in Brissy didn't have one. Instructions for Wi-Fi and other details were only on the TV, so printed information would have helped. The main problem was the morning light. The curtain hung loose at one corner and didn't block much out, so the bright room woke me at 5.45am. The photo below shows the curtains at about 6am during Queensland summer. The hotel felt fresh, had a nice vibe, and seemed well maintained since my last visit about seven years ago. Staff were very friendly. I didn't try the restaurant this time, though it was decent when I visited before. It's very central, close to shops, a cinema and the casino. We had a great meal at "Jimmy's on The Mall", an easy five-minute stroll away. Central Station was a simple ten-minute walk, even with my fairly heavy bag. One pet peeve: those large refillable soap bottles feel like cost cutting, no excuses. I don't know what's in them, so I always bring my own, and seeing the bottles is disappointing. Sadly, lots of hotels do this. A pleasant stay apart from that 5.30am sunshine :)

The views were spectacular, especially from the rooms facing the river, and the location puts you very close to Queen St Mall. We were also able to check in early. The rooms were immaculate, clean and comfortable, housekeeping did a great job, and breakfast was delicious with a great layout and range of food. I can't fault the hotel. Thanks to all the staff for making my short stay comfortable, relaxing and stress free.
