Villa at Tangalooma - Villa 14

The restaurant prices were good, though drinks were expensive. The bathroom had been nicely renovated and there was new carpet in February 2023. The ocean view was lovely, but it's quite far from the ship wreck. The current around the wreck sites is very strong, so they're only for strong swimmers. Gloves are recommended, and a wetsuit if you have one, since it's easy to cut yourself while snorkelling. I'll be back for more fun.

The location is beautiful and the views are amazing, once you find the place. Our villa was very clean, but the kitchen had limited utensils. There was no air con, BBQ, or outdoor shower or tap to rinse sandy feet. If you arrive by car, it's a long walk between the car and reception, then back to the car to unload, and on to the villa.

I was there just for the day and only saw the two-story villas from outside, but they look gorgeous. I loved the blue and white Greek-style colours and how they face the ocean. This review is only about their appearance and position.

We were told we could have a late checkout at VILLA 16 by Donald, but that offer was withdrawn when we booked. The villa had old scrubbing brushes and sponges, no bin bags, and several dirty dishes. Some unwashed glasses still had lipstick on them. I've called Don five times over five weeks to get my bond back. There's been an excuse each time, and I'm still waiting. The island and location are beautiful, but the service lets the place down, perhaps because they know it'll book out anyway.
