Inn on the Park Apartments

The shower was another sign that the place wasn't being kept up: it hadn't been cleaned properly, and there was gunk in the door crevices and along the frame where it meets the tiles. Stains on the curtains and carpet, along with visible mould, made the room feel poorly maintained and unhygienic. There was also a lingering fish-like smell when we arrived, which didn't go away even with the balcony doors open. We paid $1,370 for four nights and expected somewhere more comfortable and better presented. The cleanliness fell well below expectations, and the stay was disappointing. I wouldn't return.

Lori, the onsite manager, was extremely helpful and made our stay a wonderful one. We were there for two to three weeks while looking for an apartment for our daughter, who was studying at a nearby university. The Inn on the park apartment was well kept and convenient for Toowong village, city car ferries, buses, and trains. Having a small kitchen and fridge meant we could cook, and the balcony looked out over the Brisbane river. There was free parking on site too. Thanks so much, Lori.

I spent January 2025 in a one-bedroom apartment for a month. It was very quiet, with a spacious living area, a large private balcony, and secure parking. There are two lifts, and they were always quiet. I'm jealous of anyone who lives here permanently, lol. The valet parking looked really nice and made getting Uber Eats at the bottom of the lifts easy after a big day's work.

The staff were great and the location is fantastic, but the accommodation itself made the trip less enjoyable. There were only double beds, and ours was hard and uncomfortable. I should have called to check, but Booking.com didn't list the bed size, and I would have preferred a king. The blinds let in all the light, so daylight woke our two-year-old and the rest of us at 5:30am. The shower was awful too. There was drilling and banging from 7am to 6pm. I believe work was happening on floor 10, while we were on floor 6, and it was loud. I would have liked a warning. I've seen similar noise mentioned from over a year ago, so it's surprising it is still happening without guests being told. Even if you manage to get back to sleep, you'll be woken at 7am. The living room TV wasn't smart, despite the booklet saying you could cast to it. It had only live TV and no apps or casting. The bedroom TV had apps, but no casting either. I was shocked, as I'd never stayed somewhere without smart TVs before.
