It was a comfortable stay, and I might book again. The rooms are minimalist, and staff kept things clean, with the bins emptied regularly. The hotel is on a busy street, so nights can be noisy. Also, although an airport shuttle was advertised, none was available. For the price, the hotel itself is good.

At $550 a night for a one-bedroom apartment, I expected a more consistent experience. Getting breakfast on the first morning was difficult, so we gave up on the included breakfast the next day. The café service was disappointing and fit the rest of the stay. The bathroom wasn’t clean enough, and the room itself was pretty average. The balcony lock was broken and had a sharp edge that nearly hurt someone. Valet parking costs $50 a night, which I was fine with, but we were told the car would take 10 minutes and waited 35. We ended up late for an appointment, which was really frustrating. The first night began well, with excellent service and a small snack tray in the fridge. Unfortunately, that nice touch didn’t carry through to the rest of our visit.

The staff were the reason our stay felt so memorable. Everyone we met, at reception, in the restaurant, and in the hallways, was warm and attentive, and we felt well cared for throughout. South Bank is a great base, right among the restaurants and an easy walk from the Brisbane River. It’s easy to sit by the water or take the CityCat for a sightseeing loop or a trip into the CBD. Valet parking was simple and convenient, with the car brought around promptly. We also chose the breakfast package and really liked the food and the team behind it. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the bed was especially restful. The bathroom fittings are a bit dated and the TV is small for the room, but those were minor things. We’ll be back at Mantra South Bank Brisbane, especially for the people who made us feel so welcome.

Great spot for families, with city views and the theatre and restaurants right nearby. The staff were amazing, especially the team working tonight, 21.01.26. The furnishings and amenities feel a little 20001, though that seems in line with lots of Brisbane venues. These aren’t my best photos, I was just working with what the venue had.

The restaurant was a highlight for us, with tasty food in a nice setting. The hotel is right in the middle of Southbank, close to attractions and the energy of the city. Our room was spacious and nicely equipped, a comfortable place to unwind that felt like home. Staff were friendly and attentive the whole time. Mantra Hotel made for an enjoyable stay with a good mix of comfort, service, and location.
