The staff made everything easy. I was exhibiting across the road at the ICC and needed equipment sent ahead, then some tools during my stay. They sorted both without any fuss. The room was clean, the minibar was a welcome bonus, and I felt relaxed there. One of the best hotels in Brisbane, in my view. I'd happily recommend it.

Being right across from the convention centre made this a great base for my conference. My room was a good size and had a nice outlook, and I really enjoyed staying here. The staff were helpful, breakfast was fresh with plenty of choice, and they kept my bag on the last day so I could go out without carrying it. They also called a cab for me when I was ready to leave.

The food was excellent, and we won't forget how kind the staff were when our flight was cancelled because of the Middle East conflict on Feb 28th. Shadelle was so friendly during a stressful time and did everything she could to help, knowing how worried we were. Nick was just as respectful and kind the next day.

Nicki, thanks so much for arranging fresh linen for our two-night stay. We really appreciated it. Alisha also put in a lot of effort to help us book through booking.com, and Luis pointed me toward a bottle-o when I was out on a date. Luis, that date turned into a relationship! We had a memorable stay at Rydges and will definitely be back. These three staff members went above and beyond, and we won't forget the experience. Love to you guys, Ben and Charlie.

The pavlova for dessert was nice, and the comedy dinner show was great. The rest of the meal was a letdown. Everyone seemed to be commenting on the food. The pumpkin soup tasted okay, but it was cold for all of us. The chicken breast was barely warm and had no flavour, and the broccoli and potatoes were just as bland. I hope the hotel makes an effort to improve the food at events. Based on this meal, I wouldn't recommend holding an event here because people may be disappointed.
