The location is the one thing I like about St Tropez. The gym is okay, but it's missing basics like a bench and a set of dumbbells. Finding it and the pool was a hassle too, since there are no signs showing where either one is. On my first day moving in, I spent almost an hour looking before I found them. The pool is freezing, and even though I enjoy a cold dip, this one is just unenjoyable. It's almost always dirty, and the pool and its area get very little sunlight, about two hours per day. The lifts are always out, so you wait ages for the one working lift and it gets packed. A couple of times both lifts have been out, leaving people to use the emergency stairs, which isn't convenient on the higher levels. The management team has been rude and unhelpful, and charges for absolutely anything. My room in a 2bed unit had no window and no proper door, just a transparent sliding door that let loads of light into the room. The dump of Newstead is a fitting description. If you're thinking of moving here, I'd strongly suggest thinking again.
