The Cliff House

The room smelled awful, there were cracks and drawings on the walls, and the shower water ended up all over the floor, nearly flooding it. The TV didn’t work either. Nothing seemed to work, and the place felt dirty and unhygienic. I was scared to use the half-broken power point switch in case I got electrocuted, and I didn’t feel safe there. I can’t understand how it’s still operating. I’m not sure who to contact, but it needs professional help and should be shut down. The outside was awful too. I drove into the parking lot and saw two overflowing rubbish bins that made the area look disgusting. The location wasn’t very good, and the route to reception took you past hotel rooms and up stairs, which felt like poor privacy and could get noisy. The reception guy, though, was good and provided good service.

The room was filthy and nothing like the listing on wotif, so I had to move to different accommodation. There was mold on the sheets and air-conditioning, grime on the falk, a dirty coffee cup, hair on the pillow, and a TV with lines across its broken screen. It was just gross. When I arrived, an indigenous lady was sitting in the foyer, very drunk, and asked how I had managed to get a room there. I took photos of everything and will be making a complaint to the Australian accommodation board. People shouldn't have to stay somewhere this bad. Don't waste your money.

They were helpful when I checked in late, but the room was a mess. Cockroaches were on the floor, mold covered parts of the walls and skirting, and the toilet was broken. The bathroom door was damaged and wouldn't shut properly, and the bed linen had holes and tears. I won't stay here again.

The bed was really uncomfortable, and my room door wouldn't lock, so there was no real privacy. Reception, especially the champ ant, was probably the best part of the stay. The service itself wasn't too bad.
