The Wellington Apartment Hotel

The rooms are comfortable, with a kitchenette, full-size fridge and balcony. Management and staff are friendly and helpful. The Wellington Apartments are conveniently close to the city. There’s a well-stocked supermarket within an easy walk, and Shafston Hotel across the road serves good meals. I highly recommend it.

The pool isn’t heated, despite what the sign out front and website say. Our King room was lovely, but a bit tired in places. On arrival there was vomit beside the bed, and nobody was around to tell at 10am, so we called later to ask for it to be cleaned. The location is great, with the best Thai food a short walk up the road, a pub with great food opposite, and the river ferry a short walk away.

The location was good, and the indoor parking was great and secure. Staff were friendly, and they did respond to our feedback at the end of the stay and apologised. Still, the experience was disappointing and inconvenient. They don’t offer daily room service, which is fine, but we asked both cleaning staff and reception to have the room cleaned. The receptionist said it would be done, but when we came back that evening, it hadn’t been. The towels weren’t changed, so we had no spares to shower with. The tables were very dusty too, and we would have appreciated at least one clean during the stay. We called the after-hours number at reception multiple times and nobody answered. The after-hours service was 0/10.

The price was good, not too expensive for staying one or two nights, and I’d rate it 10 out of 10. The location is handy, right in the middle of everything. The rooms were great, and I loved sitting on the balcony in the morning. Staff were really kind and always helped when I needed something. I’d highly recommend it.
