Trafalgar Lane Apartments by CLLIX

The pool was clean and quiet, and Pam and Yaliya were especially helpful. They even let us use it after checkout. I loved my three-night stay. The apartment was huge and fully equipped, easily suited to a longer visit. There are lots of local cafes and restaurants nearby, and getting to the CBD was easy with a bus stop just a two-minute walk away. I’d definitely come back.

The bathroom had mould in the shower, failing sealant, rust stains and water damage around the fixtures. There was a persistent damp smell, and an unpleasant odour from the hallway seeped into the apartment. The floors, skirting boards and corners were visibly filthy with built-up dust and grime. Surfaces looked smeared, rubbish was under the couch, and there was splatter on nearly every wall, including yellow stains in the bedroom. The walls were marked, dented and chipped, and stored furniture made part of the closet unusable. I was booked for a long stay, so I spent several hours cleaning to try to make the place livable. While doing that, I found a white fluid stain on a bed pillow and a cockroach. That made it clear the conditions were beyond what I could reasonably fix, and I couldn’t stay. The unit looked nothing like the online photos and was unsanitary and unacceptable when I arrived. Management sent someone to inspect. When I showed him the cockroach, he brushed it off, saying he gets them in his garage all the time. That felt like an inappropriate comparison when I was on the 13th floor. He did promptly take away the pillow with the white fluid stains, though. I strongly advise people not to stay here.

We had a great stay. The apartment was spacious and bright, with a kitchen and even a washing machine. There’s a bus station nearby. I’d recommend it if you’re visiting Brisbane!

Pam at reception was friendly and really helpful with my requests. The rooms were spacious, super clean and felt very new, and there was a little gift package. The city and stadium views were amazing. It’s a great place, and I’ll stay here again next time I’m in Brisbane.
