Ella, Ian and the rest of the staff took great care of us during our week here with our family and two dogs. They often went out of their way to accommodate us, thank you so much. There are heaps of places to eat right below the hotel, including Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese, Italian, Greek and French crepes. Harris Farm is less than a two-minute walk away, and once you find the alley lanes, you can walk between blocks. Melbourne Chuffed and Posto are great for strong coffee. For ice cream, Anita at Harris Farm has you covered, and there’s a great Turkish place on the other side for patisserie, desserts and coffee. There’s a beautiful pool and sauna if you want to relax, plus undercover parking if you let them know beforehand. Highly recommend.

This was a great base for the West End and South Brisbane area. My room got lovely sunshine and had a good-sized bed and work desk. I picked the area for its nearby attractions and transport links, including Suncorp, West End, South Brisbane and Southbank, with Brisbane CBD just across the river. It felt generally safe, with few hassles, and was a great area to explore on foot. There are plenty of nearby options for food and drinks, from takeaway and restaurants to cafes, bars and convenience stores.

Everything was within walking distance, and we walked to the Metallica concert, which was pretty good. The room could use a bit of work, but it was still very comfortable. It was a great place to stay and I’d definitely recommend it.

We had a great girls’ weekend here. The location was good, the rooms were spacious, the beds comfy and it was quiet. Ian at the front desk deserves a special mention for being so welcoming and helpful!

For the price, this was disappointing. The room and corridor smelled damp, the shower only got warm, and the foyer could use a thorough clean.
