Cable Beach Backpackers - Hostel

It was easy to get around Broome from here, and the place had a relaxed, respectful feel. I felt safe, and there were lockers available. The staff were friendly and easy to approach, and happy to share local tips. The bathrooms were clean, the kitchen had what I needed, and the shared spaces made it easy to meet other travellers. I had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone after a comfortable, social place.

I’m 46 and had never stayed in a backpackers before. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. There was plenty of open space to sit alone or join a group, and most of the guests and roommates were chatty. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were quiet, and the facilities were easy to use and all good. The beds were SUPER comfy. I’d have preferred a four-bed room to a six-bed one as an older traveller, though. I’d definitely come back.

I spent a whole month here and had an amazing stay. The pool was a nice place to relax, and there were volleyball and basketball courts too. The hostel also has parking, a properly equipped kitchen, and clean showers. It’s only a short walk to the beach, and the property was beautiful and well looked after. The staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. I’d highly recommend it for a comfortable, welcoming stay near the beach.

Sol and Ella made this hostel stand out for me. They’re welcoming, professional, and bring such positive energy. They took time to answer questions about the hostel, offer Broome tips, or just have a laugh with guests. You can feel that hospitality from check-in. I’ve stayed in plenty of hostels, but Cable Beach Backpackers is special because of them. I’ll definitely be back 🙌🏼
