Broulee has lovely beaches, walks, swimming and food, and we’ll definitely return. A three-phase charger on site was really handy for our electric car. We spent three nights midweek in the Black Bower, a lovely surprise for a coastal break. It suited a couple perfectly, with breakfast provisions, a spa and a deck overlooking the magnificent Aussie bush. There was also a fireplace, though it was warm enough that we didn’t need it. We loved having drinks and dinner outside, listening to kookaburras in the twilight and seeing three handsome crimson rosellas visit the feeder each morning. We even had a massage outdoors on the deck from a wonderful local masseuse. And the serenity! Thanks, Mark and Sue, for a wonderful stay.

We booked a couples massage with Carla and Rosie and both came away feeling refreshed. The Bower was spotless, with everything we needed to cater for ourselves. We especially appreciated the generous breakfast hamper and litre of milk, plus the option to make tea with leaves and coffee with pods. The big bath jacuzzi was lovely, and the fire was already set when we arrived. It was such a relaxing mini-break. We only stayed two nights and wished we’d booked a few more.

The wildlife was a real highlight. From the porch we saw Fairy Wrens, Eastern Honey-Eaters, a Channel-billed Cuckoo and Sacred Kingfisher, among other birds, while Rosellas and Rainbow Lorikeets regularly visited the feeders. The lorikeets even tapped at the window, apparently hoping for extra food. The cabin was spotless and beautifully maintained, with understated luxury and thoughtful touches. The fireplace was ready to light, and the fridge had locally sourced milk and a generous breakfast pack. Before we arrived, we received helpful details on getting there, finding local food and things to see and do. We had three peaceful nights at The Bower at Broulee. It feels miles from everything, though village shops, a brewery, a distillery and plenty of takeaway and dine-in options are only a five-minute drive away. We left rested and rejuvenated, already talking about another stay. We’ll definitely be back.

On our second stay at The Bower at Browlee, we again loved watching possums and birds from the deck. The accommodation was beautifully designed and presented, and perfectly clean, making it feel both luxurious and welcoming. With the peaceful bush setting and warm hospitality, it was another magical escape. We’re already thinking about coming back soon.

The simple arrival and departure setup works really well: you get a code shortly before arriving, then leave when you’re ready, without any check-in or checkout hassle. The Bowers are beautifully maintained and clean, and feel so private you could stay without seeing another person. Sue and Mark have set everything up perfectly. It’s a peaceful escape that still keeps conveniences close by. We’ve stayed at The Bower a few times and it’s been consistently perfect. Easily our favourite holiday spot for couples.
