Bungadoo Country Cottage

We keep coming back to this cottage for its peaceful rural feel. It’s well away from the road, so there’s no traffic noise, and it’s a lovely way to unwind after a long drive or busy week. Sharon and Jenny are so welcoming, whether they’re bringing fresh eggs or showing you the animals. Just ask. The kitchen has useful extras, including condiments and pantry basics, so you only need to bring food. Gin Gin is a 10-minute drive for meals or shopping. The pool’s a nice bonus in summer.

Jen was lovely with the kids and took them to feed the chickens and the other animals. The place was clean and tidy, and the kids had a great time in the pool. The residence was closer than we expected, but it still felt like a nice getaway for us.

My friends paid quite a lot to stay here, and there wasn’t bedding for the extra guests. When the children went for a swim, they were told to stay away from the barracuda in the pool. They were also asked to keep the noise down at 10 to 10. The photos are misleading, and it’s advertised as a B&B but there’s no breakfast. It seems overpriced when Gin Gin has great, affordable motels.

There was plenty of room for me and my four kids after a day of travelling alone with them. We paid extra for breakfast, and the kids got to meet the farm animals before spreading out in the lounge to watch a movie. It was a quiet, peaceful night, just 10 minutes off the Bruce motorway at gin gin.
