Beach Hotel

The meal took 65 minutes to arrive, which really spoiled things. When it did come, both the Southern chicken burger and the child’s chicken burger were delicious. My pork belly was tender and lovely, but the crackling was very poor.

We were right by the water, which made the location a highlight. The restaurant and pub were busy on the evening we visited, and dinner there was a solid choice. My wife and I stayed one night in September 2025. The room was basic, but had what we needed and was exceptionally clean. I remember complimenting the housekeeping staff in the hallway.

We ended up eating here every night of our week in Burnie, even though we’d planned to try somewhere different each evening. The Beach Hotel had a great atmosphere, the food was better than expected, and the staff were the friendliest. We were just as impressed each time. We’ll be back. You won’t find better.

We had dinner here both nights and the meals were delicious, with huge serves. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our two-day stay was hard to fault: the rooms were clean, bright and comfortable, and we loved the fire. Continental breakfast was included, which we hadn’t realised, and was great. The laundry beside the rooms was handy too. Other hotels could learn a thing or two from this one. Shame we don’t live nearby, we’d be here all the time.
