Plumes on the Green Boutique Bed & Breakfast

I rarely write reviews, even though I’ve stayed in places all over the world and can be fussy about accommodation. Plumes is the best place I’ve found in Tamworth. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the location is great. Lisa, our host, was lovely and so accommodating, going above and beyond to make the stay wonderful.

We spent four nights at Plumes Boutique B&B from 22/02/2023, and the room had everything we needed. It was air-conditioned, clean, and everything worked; the bed, linen, and towels were good quality. WiFi was reliable, and Netflix was included if you wanted to watch a movie. Breakfast was home-cooked and included in the tariff, with plenty of choice alongside cereals, breads, and pancakes. The family-owned place had a very warm, welcoming manager, who was happy to chat without pushing conversation and knew good places to eat and local attractions. I’d highly recommend staying here, whether for one night or longer. It’s hard to find a friendlier place in Tamworth with such good service.

Leesa was a lovely host, easy to talk to, full of suggestions for places to visit around Tamworth, and never put off by a request. We’d never been to Tamworth and didn’t know what to expect, but Leesa and Plumes made the stay very good. The B&B itself was beautifully presented, with period-style furniture, and our room was well kept with a very comfortable bed. Freshly cooked breakfast each morning was a treat. We’d booked for two days and ended up staying four. If we come back to Tamworth, we know where we’ll stay.

The Australian bird-themed rooms and personal artwork throughout the place were lovely. Leesa and Peter were friendly and helpful, and the shared living areas had a quaint feel. They’d clearly put care into giving guests information about things to do in Tamworth. We especially enjoyed the 5.5km Kamilaroi Walking Track to Flagstaff Mountain.
