We booked Friday night pizzas, and oddly enough, had to choose and order them when making the booking. I assume that's so they're ready to cook. Friday was good, though I can't comment on the food on other nights. I understand you need to book for pizza. The covered verandah has comfy tables and great bush views. There's plenty of parking, though it's an easy walk too. Staff were friendly and capable. You order drinks at the bar inside, and we tried the onsite-brewed beer tasting paddle, four for $20. They also had other beers and wines. The brewery is open during the day for drinks and nibbles, I believe. There were plenty of locals and tourists on Friday night, but most were home by 7:30.

Nothing bad, nothing especially great either. It's a three-star place, so keep expectations in check. They had a horse, though, which was cool.

I loved every moment of my stay. The rooms were beautifully appointed, with awesome views, and the restaurant and brewery were top class. Sarah and Tony are wonderful managers, and all the staff were exceptional. Rachel went above and beyond to help. The location, right at the top of town, is the best. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay and holiday.

Castaway was great for our family. We loved having snorkels available to borrow, and the WiFi was great. The rooms were spacious, and everyone we met was friendly and helpful, both at the hotel and in the brewery and restaurant. We'll be back!

We chose Castaway for a special holiday and ate out most nights, though our room had a little kitchenette with tea and coffee, and you could cook there if you wanted. It was spacious, very clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were lovely and nothing was a problem. You can walk to the town centre and places to eat in 5-10 minutes. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with a drink in the afternoon. Laundry and WiFi were available, too. Thanks to Erin and the staff for making our stay special. We'd definitely stay with you again if we visited.
