We picked Island Lodge Apartment partly because it’s close to the historical site and the golf club. When we arrived, we were struck by the views. The apartment was very clean and practical, and we self catered for the week, enjoying good meals and wine while looking out at what we thought was the island’s best vista. We were met at the airport and given the keys.

The views stretch across Kingston, the southern islands and the open sea. On arrival, we were taken straight to our spotless unit, and a car had been left for us to use. The place is stylish and comfortable, with complimentary Wi-Fi if you need to keep in touch. There’s also a local phone, which made arranging meals, outings and tours easier.

The bed was very comfortable, and the place was immaculate with everything we needed for a week of self catering. You’ll need a car, so book a package that includes one. It’s about a three minute drive to beautiful Emily Bay, or a walk if you’re feeling energetic. The view over Kingston and Phillip Island is the best million dollar view on the island. We’ll be back, it was splendid.

With just five apartments, Islander Lodge stays fairly quiet, and the grounds are kept in great shape. The apartment is well furnished and has everything you need. The views are the best accommodation views on the island.
