The price was okay, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. There were only a few dishes and no teaspoon. The main issue was the noise from an Aboriginal family who seemed to live there. Kids having fun in the daytime is fine, but not at 10 or 11pm when I’m trying to sleep.

They used to serve the best counter meals around Mildura, but they haven’t had a chef since April. Such a disappointment. We ring often to see if meals are back because we really enjoyed the family atmosphere. Maybe it’ll be great again one day.

The $10 lunch meals are a big reason we like the Edge. The food is good for the price, and the staff are friendly and easygoing. It has a pub atmosphere, so don’t expect a five-star restaurant. Drinks are on the expensive side, though that doesn’t bother us since we don’t drink much, and I hear alcohol costs a lot at all pubs.

The fish and chips were the best we’ve had in Mildura or over on the NSW side. It’s a hidden gem for good value pub food. The place itself isn’t fancy, but the meal makes up for that. We’ll be back, and it’s definitely worth a try.
