There’s plenty to see and do in the surrounding area, including trout fishing, and we’d love to return. We spent three nights here and had a wonderfully relaxing break. It’s a grand old home with clean rooms, lovely gardens and very comfortable beds. The hosts were so friendly and always ready to help. A big breakfast is included, and dinner is available as an option, which made for a perfect holiday.

Vince and Ali made us feel right at home and even catered to my dietary requirements with a beautiful dinner, for an extra cost. The location is lovely, up on a hill with views over the surrounding bush and farmland. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, and getting to feed the goats and cows was a real treat.

Roslyn House is a gorgeous old farmhouse, dating to around 1850. We only stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer. The setting is peaceful and idyllic, with kookaburras and cockatoos calling at dusk and a cow and a few goats in the neighbouring field. Ali and Vince gave my sister and me a warm welcome. Our twin room was full of little luxuries, including bathrobes, toiletries and bath slippers, and the beds were so comfortable we felt well rested. The room was better than some 5* hotels I’ve stayed in. The gardens are beautifully kept, with an English style, budlia and a huge rhodedendron. Guests can use the spacious lounge, and the breakfast room looks out over the valley. Breakfast had continental and hot options, with drinks refills.

Ali and Vince are pure gold. They’re delightful hosts who go out of their way for you, though being waited on felt a little unfamiliar to us, which made the stay all the more charming. The old house is lovely and being lovingly restored. The view from the breakfast room is so relaxing you could just sit there and veg out. I suspect this may not be the place for someone who doesn’t enjoy the countryside, but if you want peace and relaxation, it’s hard to beat. We’d go back in a heartbeat.

The garden was lovely to wander through, with fantastic views and such a relaxing feel. Our room was spacious and airy, with a private bathroom, and breakfast was great. Catherine & Alistar were great hosts at this B&B in Bushy Park. It’s a historic house and a fantastic place to stay if you’re out this way.
