Bask & Stow

We spent four nights here in February and had a wonderful time. It's about a 15 minute walk to the restaurants, shops and beach, and we didn't need to drive or pay for the very expensive parking. Top Shop cafe is just a two minute walk away for great coffee and food. We got a list of recommendations for places to eat, and they were all great. There's on-site parking too. The apartment was spotless, which is sadly almost a rarity in Australian accommodation. It had a large room with a big king bed, sofa, side tables and kitchenette. The bed was fabulously comfortable and we slept really well. There was a fan, aircon, blackout blinds, and plenty of natural light. The kitchenette had everything we needed: microwave, fridge, cutlery, crockery, glasses, toaster and kettle. The bathroom was large, with a big bath and a lovely shower, plus shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. There was plenty of storage and useful bits as well: a big wardrobe with hangers, full length mirror, safe, iron and ironing board, and umbrella. A good size TV was mounted up on the wall, with no problems getting YouTube or Netflix. The grounds were beautifully maintained, and the pool area had outdoor sun loungers. We'll definitely return. We'd never been to Byron before, and this was our 20th wedding anniversary, so it was a special little romantic holiday. The team were lovely and attentive from the booking stage, sharing information about Byron, and made us feel welcome and special when we arrived. We stayed in both garden and sun suite, and loved them both. We felt so relaxed and chilled, and the location was great for walking everywhere. Thanks to the team for being part of our celebration. Maria and her team made me feel truly looked after from the moment I arrived. They were proactive about offering fresh linen and towels, or checking if I needed anything, almost every day, but did it without disrupting my day. One day I came back to a lovely surprise: a delicious charcuterie platter delivered to my suite, fresh and full of local goodies. Thanks again, and hopefully I'll see you soon!

We've already booked again for next year. Bask & Stow was such a relaxing escape, and our needs were anticipated throughout. The room was exceptional, the bed was high quality, and the bathroom was fabulously spacious. The plunge pool was a lovely bonus when we wanted to cool off. The location is fabulous, just a hop, skip and jump from Top Shop 🥰
