The location made it easy to enjoy both the beach and the lighthouse, with the beach just a few minutes away on foot and the lighthouse around a 10-minute walk. It felt homey too, thanks to the carefully and individually decorated rooms. The family who run the place were lovely and flexible, and gave us really helpful local tips.

Clarkes beach is right across the road, and the town centre is about a 15-minute walk away, which gets you a little distance from the noise. I loved the people who own this lovely oasis, the comfiest bed I've ever slept in, and those delicious muffins. Such a perfect weekend in Byron.

We didn't want to leave The Cape Beach House, but we'll be back! Katie and Rory took such good care of us, and Katie and her family were so warm and welcoming. The room looked stunning, and breakfast treats of daily muffins and muesli were amazing. It's right by the beach and an easy walk into town. Definitely recommend.

We loved unwinding by the pool and on our private front porch, with the beach just across the street. The place is a peaceful little way out of the busier area, which we preferred, and the beach was less crowded, especially during schoolers. It's about a 10-minute walk downtown. Our room was clean and beautifully designed, and Katie was so kind and accommodating. The yogurt, muesli and juices she left in the room were a lovely touch. My husband and I absolutely loved our stay. Highly recommend!
