Club Byron Accommodation

Trying to return a lost phone to someone at Byron Bowlo turned into a whole saga. I rang and asked politely if they could call the person over the PA. The guy on the phone seemed completely thrown by the request. There were long pauses, lots of confusion, and after two minutes there still hadn't been an announcement or any sign of the person. I called again and spoke to a woman behind the bar. She said the guy had walked around looking for them but hadn't found them. I asked if using the PA might work better, and she offered to walk around too. I brought up the microphone again, the thing meant to address the whole venue, and then the call was cut off. Ten out of ten for walking, zero for communication. If you lose your phone there, apparently someone will wander in roughly the right direction. And to the woman behind the bar: I've seen a loading screen at 1% show more initiative. The PA wasn't a philosophical question or advanced calculus. It's a button: press it, speak, and sound carries. Watching you avoid that simple fix was almost impressive. If avoiding basic problem-solving were an Olympic event, you'd be on the podium and still refuse to use the mic to thank the crowd.
